Increasing google PR and ranking on google are 2 different ball games. Though in both areas link building is what will count but the intent is different. As in

Ranking --- theme based links would help more
PR- high pr links will help more

its been nice to hear from you about PR functions.....

But its not totally true that Ranking is most dependable in the PR, PR function si only shows you ur page value and ranking ur talk about ur site values..

If you want to increase your PR , so firstly try to find nice PR site which is totally releated to your work profile (but not a competitve one) ....... think about this who is benificial for your site...

and try to make a nice ratio between your incoming links and outgoing links, its also important for your Page rank..

then give some time to be add in your backward listing ... and continoue your this way of woking .........then u can find the result.......... but really it take some time.

If you want .. high PR in next update so u can purchase hight PR links from sites.......... just check out nice PR site, then contact site owner..

As Shilpa say for PR . Site should we relevent ,i am not agree with this point
As far my knoweldge the page in which your link is up should we relevent, not Compulsory site should we relevent.
and for high PR

i say themed in the sence of page not site ok


i am sure if you do this your PR must we increase.

PR is totally related with number of backlinks you have.

So to increase backlinks you must submit your site in directories & also update content regularly. Updated content increases traffic. Like this way link popularity develops.

I suggest start focusing on ranking rather than PR as its just a status symbol, what will get you business is ranking and not PR, unless you have some other motives.

PR plays a very important role in online advertising and the ads that you get are directory propotional to PR of your website. TO increase PR i suggest link to high PR pages like 6, 7, 8 and you will see the increase in the PR update.
